Get ready for some great days at Black Bear Retreat, a cozy but spacious cabin packed with amenities and ideally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg downtowns!   This cabin is only 1 mile off the main road, providing quick and easy access. Even though it is very easy to check out everything the area has to offer, you will also find plenty of things to do to keep you busy and having fun at the cabin. This 4-bedroom (+1 enclosed sleeping area/retreat above the garage), 3-bathroom cabin comfortably accommodates up to 15 guests and boasts a long list of conveniences – including NEW features and ammentities that artfully blend traditional and modern styles – to make your stay a memorable one.

Living Room
Ready to relax? Gather with family and friends in the living room, complete with new furniture great for chatting late into the night. Cozy up on 2 sofas and a bench all set around a welcoming fireplace with a big screen TV on the mantel. The fresh, open space features beautiful updated flooring, painted walls, and windows stretching to the ceiling to offer a peek at the peaceful surroundings.

Kitchen
This sleek kitchen isn’t your typical cabin cooking space! Featuring dark countertops contrasting bright white cabinetry and black-and-stainless steel appliances, it offers plenty of counter space for prepping food, modern open shelving, and rustic touches to give you that updated cabin feel. The open concept makes it easy to chat with other guests as you whip up snacks, drinks, and meals for the family.

Rec Spaces
Black Bear Retreat has you covered with entertainment! You can gather in the theater area with a massive 70” HD smart TV, Blu-ray player (and movie library) for an awesome movie night. Let the kids have fun in the new custom kid fort/play area, or spend hours playing in the huge rec room in the basement. The rec room has lots of natural light and is decked out with a pool table, arcade games, foosball, and plenty of seating to keep everyone happy. As you hang out in the rec room, grab a drink from the bar fridge or pop some popcorn in the microwave and sit back at one of 3 specialty custom made barrel top tables to chat. For extra sleeping space you will find 2 twin futons and 1 twin bunk bed as well.

Bedrooms
This spacious cabin has two king bedroom suites and two additional queen bedrooms all tastefully decorated with new flooring, wood feature walls, and trim. The bonus room above the garage features 3 twins. It’s a fun space with comfy seating, a smart TV and XBOX, and built-in beds the kids will love – perfect for sleepovers!  Each bunk has its own light, and the room is equipped with USB charging plugs for your convenience! You’ll find new bedding, quilts, and comforters throughout, along with new log-style bedroom furniture and brand-new smart TVs and electronics for the bedrooms!

Outdoor Spaces
The roads leading to the cabin are flat and paved, and so is the parking when you arrive. There is even room to park a camper or trailer! It’s a nice level property with room for parking or playing around, and it boasts wooded surroundings with peaceful seasonal views. You’ll even have a 2-car garage to use during your stay!

There is plenty of deck space to enjoy outside, along with several entrance points for your group. You can spend evenings soaking in the outdoor hot tub, sipping hot cocoa as you sit in the rocking chairs, having dinner at the outdoor dining table, or just enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature in your own cabin.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, the cabin is in a neighborhood with a private walking trail and a private lake for catch-and-release fishing. As for the indoors, along with some nice updates – fresh paint and T&G accent walls and trim for the basement and updated flooring – Black Bear Retreat is outfitted with a list of conveniences to make you feel right at home. Take advantage of the beautiful and spacious laundry room with full size washer/dryer, cozy up in front of 2 electric fireplaces, surf via the Wi-Fi, and have cookouts with the gas grill!

Dolly Parton's Stampede
Be amazed at performers on horseback, doing amazing stunts and wearing dazzling costumes. Along with your entertainment, enjoy a hearty 4-course meal, complete with Southern sweet tea, rolls, and dessert!

The Island
You could spend an entire day walking around at The Island in Pigeon Forge. You can ride the 200-foot Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, taste moonshine at Ole Smoky Moonshine, pamper yourself at St. Somewhere Spa, let the kids make a friend at Build-A-Bear, or watch an incredible water and lights show at The Island Show Fountain!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park
A little farther down the road, the most visited national park boasts hundreds of miles of trails to explore. You can hike, bike, go horseback riding, take a scenic drive, have a picnic, or take a relaxing walk to a beautiful waterfall. Admission to the park is free, and there are lots of fun kids’ activities throughout the year!

Flyaway Indoor Skydiving
Want some exciting thrills without fear of heights or airplanes? Try indoor body-surfing in the giant wind tunnel of Flyaway Indoor Skydiving! Take turns mastering body control and skydiving techniques with the well-trained instructors for a fun time with friends. It also acts as a great precursor and training if you are interested in hopping out of plane someday!

SpeedZone Fun Park
Fly down 4 different go-kart tracks for a fun-filled day with the kids! In the heart of downtown Pigeon Forge, you are sure to see the big wooden coil of SpeedZone’s tall go-kart tracks from a ways away. The park offers everything from the Kid’s Track for ages 4 and older to the double karts of the Coaster Track where parents can ride with their younger children, ages 3 and up!
